CAC -- The Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) has announced its weekly awards following the second week of the 2019 men's soccer season. For the second consecutive week, St. Mary's senior forward Khalid Balogun earned CAC Offensive Player of the Week accolades, while York junior goalkeeper Billy Bridegum claimed CAC Defensive Player of the Week honors.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Khalid Balogun - St. Mary's (Md.)
St. Mary's senior forward Khalid Balogun led the Seahawks to a 2-0 week with victories over Bridgewater (4-1) and Kean (2-0) in the Seahawks Classic. The Bowie, Maryland native led the Seahawks with eights points off of four goals, including a hat trick against Bridgewater. Additionally, Balogun recorded the game-winner against Kean.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Billy Bridegum - York (Pa.)
Spartan junior goalie Billy Bridegum added a pair of shutouts for the week as York had a pair of scoreless ties for the week. In the game against Stevenson on Wednesday, the Spartans had to play a man-down the final 77:50 of the game due to a red card. Bridegum came up big with six saves to keep the clean sheet. The Mustangs fired off 25 shots in the game but Bridegum was able to keep Stevenson at bay. On Saturday, Bridegum pushed his scoreless streak to 382:25 with 110 minutes of scoreless soccer with four saves. For the season, Bridegum's goals against average now sits at 0.22 as he has conceded just one goal for the year.

Gabriel Soriano booted the game-winning goal as Mary Washington defeated sixth-ranked Montclair State University, 2-1, on Saturday...Salisbury's Dolph Hegewisch scored two goals at Neumann on Tuesday, including a penalty kick and had three assists in two games at the Seahawk Classic. Hegewisch is on a four-game points streak...Ryan Miller recorded 14 saves in net to help Salisbury win all three of their matches on the week....Patrick Paolini led the St. Mary's to a 2-0 week with victories over Bridgewater (4-1) and Kean (2-0). Paolini collected nine saves during the week while allowing just one goal. In addition, Paolini earned two victories in goal...
