Ashley Mazer Salisbury Women's Cross Country Junior Mazer earned the individual championship at the Hood Invitational as the top runner among 105 competitors on Saturday. Mazer finished the run in 23:14, edging second-place Kara Taylor from St. Mary's by four seconds. Mazer has now placed in the top five in three events this season, but this was her first win. Logan Funk Christopher Newport Women's Cross Country Freshman Funk posted the top time on the women's side of the 3k during the CNU Invitational on Saturday at Lee Hall Mansion. During the race, she finished in 11:20, beating the next closest competitor by 16 seconds.  Read More

Ashley Mazer Salisbury Women's Cross Country Junior Mazer was Salisbury's top finisher as the Sea Gulls won the Don Cathcart Invitational on Saturday by nearly 40 points. Mazer placed fifth in the race, and was the third-fastest Division III runner in the field, completing the course in 23:02. It marks the second meet victory for the Sea Gulls. Mazer's time was more than 30 seconds faster than her first run on the Winter Place Park course in the team's season-opening meet, the Salisbury University Fall Classic. Read More

Monica Lannen Christopher Newport Women's Cross Country Junior Lannen kicked off the 2018 season with a victory in the 4k during the Mary Washington Opener on Friday. During the race, she posted a time of 15:11.6, which topped the next closest competitor by over 15 seconds. Guided by those efforts, Christopher Newport eventually secured the team title with a score of 28. Read More
