Brooke Krebs York Volleyball Senior Krebs averaged 3.12 kills and 2.41 digs per set while posting three double-doubles in a 3-1 week for the Spartans, who clinched the No. 3 seed in the upcoming CAC Tournament. In a 3-1 win over Salisbury, Krebs notched 15 kills, 11 digs and a solo block. She also registered double-doubles in non-conference victories over Arcadia (11k, 10d) and McDaniel (14k, 13d). Krebs had 54.5 points in the Spartans' four matches.  Read More

Peyton Dunow Mary Washington Volleyball Junior Dunow was one of several UMW players that stepped up large this week, as the Eagles defeated three teams ranked in the regional rankings, and two in the top 25. For the week, she recorded 2.92 kills per game with a .298 hitting percentage, and added eight digs and four total blocks. She posted 11 kills, three digs and three blocks in a 3-1 win over No. 25 Johns Hopkins on Saturday in head coach Matt Troy's 200th career win, and followed with a nearly flawless performance on Sunday in a 3-0 win over regionally-ranked Eastern. She posted 18 kills in 21 attempts with no errors for an .810 hitting average, and added a pair of aces and four digs. She was named to the all-tournament team at Juniata. Read More
Riley Garrison, Christopher Newport, Volleyball, Junior
Riley Garrison Christopher Newport Volleyball Junior Garrison collected back-to-back Player of the Week honors after continuing to start on the defensive end for the 23rd-ranked Captains, including a historic performance at Catholic on Friday. Against the Cardinals, she equaled CNU's single-match program record with 12 blocks. Only four Captains have ever reached that total, and Garrison is the first to do it twice after also collecting a dozen rejections against York on Oct. 27, 2017. Additionally, Garrison clubbed 14 kills while hitting .684 against Catholic. With that effort, she became the second Captain ever to record at least 12 kills and 12 blocks in a single match. Rounding out her week, Garrison also notched nine blocks in a league victory at Penn State Harrisburg on Thursday before driving home nine kills to go along with five more rejections on Friday against Lynchburg. Overall, Garrison averaged 2.17 blocks per set while posting 28 kills and a .400 hitting percentage during the week. Read More

Riley Garrison Christopher Newport Volleyball Junior Garrison led the Captains to a perfect 5-0 record during the week with averages of 2.13 kills, 1.19 blocks, 0.50 service aces and 0.50 digs per set. On the defensive side, the junior notched 19 blocks, including nine against St. Mary's on Friday. Meanwhile, on the offensive side, she pumped three aces during both ends of Friday's doubleheader against St. Mary's and Marymount. The three aces marked her most in a match since her freshman year. Additionally, she led CNU with a .342 hitting percentage during the week, including 11 kills against Bridgewater on Tuesday. She also clubbed nine kills on only 16 swings during the squad's sweep over Marymount on Friday. Read More

Josie Lucernoni Christopher Newport Volleyball Senior Lucernoni led the Captains to four wins during the week while anchoring the back row. During the four matches, she averaged 6.08 digs-per-set, including a historic performance at Frostburg State. Against the Bobcats, she set a career-high with 31 digs, equaling the most by a Captain since 2012. Her 31 digs also marked the fourth-most in a four-set match in program history. Along with her efforts against FSU, Lucernoni also collected 15 digs against Lebanon Valley and 18 against Neumann. Meanwhile, she starred on serve-receive throughout the week, converting all 46 of her reception attempts. She has now converted 80 consecutive reception attempts dating back to Sept. 19. Read More

Hailey Lohnes Southern Virginia Volleyball Sophomore Lohnes led the Knights to a 2-0 week with a pair of double-doubles. She opened the week with 16 kills and 14 digs in a 3-1 non-conference victory against Roanoke. Lohnes then posted 19 kills, 17 digs, and four service aces in a 3-1 CAC-opening victory over Salisbury. For the week, she averaged 4.38 kills and 3.88 digs per set while adding six aces and two blocks.  Read More
Madyson Whitcomb, York, Volleyball, Junior
Madyson Whitcomb York Volleyball Junior Whitcomb averaged 4.0 kills per set while hitting a superb .477 in a 3-1 week for the Spartans that included the team championship at the Messiah Invitational. Whitcomb registered double-digit kills in each of the Spartans' three wins, including a career-high 23 kills in a four-set win over Messiah. She also totaled six blocks for an average of 0.4 blocks per set throughout the week.  Read More

Biamba Tshitenge Frostburg State Volleyball Junior Tshitenge averaged 3.44 kills per set while hitting at a .340 clip in a 3-2 week for the Bobcats. She recorded at least eight kills and two blocks in each match, averaging 0.89 blocks per set throughout the week. She contributed 4.2 points per set for the Bobcats while also adding eight digs and three service aces. Read More
LaRee Crockett, Southern Virginia, Volleyball, Junior
LaRee Crockett Southern Virginia Volleyball Junior Crockett led the Knights to 4-0 season debut and team title at the Cougar Classic hosted by Averett. She registered 30 or more assists in all four matches, including 40-plus in two of the victories. Crockett averaged 11.46 assists and 3.0 digs per set while also contributing six total blocks. The Knights defeated Randolph, Averett, William Peace and Guilford in impressive fashion, dropping just one set throughout the four matches.  Read More
