Macey Nitchie Frostburg State Women's Swimming Junior Frostburg State junior Macey Nitchie was named the CAC Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week for the second straight week after posting three of the top times in the CAC and setting four individual and two school relay records at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational. Individually, she broke Frostburg State records and ranked among the top times nationally in the 50 freestyle (24.29; 25th nationally), 100 freestyle (52.87; 15th nationally), 200 freestyle (1:54.17; 14th nationally), and 1650 freestyle (18:44.23; 53rd nationally). Her 50, 100, and 1650 times rank atop the CAC this season. She was also a part of record-breaking 400 medley relay (4:06.64) and 400 freestyle relay (3:43.98) squads. Read More

Macey Nitchie Frostburg State Women's Swimming Junior Frostburg State junior Macey Nitchie was selected as the CAC Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week after helping the Bobcats make history by winning their first-ever CAC dual meet in a 148-113 defeat of St. Mary's. Nitchie won all four of her events and set two new school records. She collected first-place finishes in the 200 freestyle (2:14.00), 50 freestyle (27.55), 400 freestyle (4:47.89; school record), and anchored the 200 freestyle relay (1:56.13; school record). Shannon Coryell Mary Washington Women's Swimming Senior Mary Washington senior Shannon Coryell was named the CAC Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week for the second straight week after turning in the top times in the conference in the 500 freestyle and 100 butterfly in dual meet victory over Marymount last week. Coryell won the 50 freestyle (24.91) and the 100 butterfly (59.77) with the top times in the conference and 52nd and 38th-best marks nationally, respectively. She was also a member of the winning 200 medley relay at 1:52.30 and the 200 freestyle relay at 1:42.09. Read More

Shannon Coryell Mary Washington Women's Swimming Senior Mary Washington senior Shannon Coryell was honored as the CAC Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week after notching three individual and three relay victories in a pair of lopsided dual-meet wins for the Eagles. Against Randolph-Macon, Coryell won the 100 butterfly (1:00.82) and was part of winning relays in the 200 medley (1:53.71) and 200 freestyle (1:42.61). Against Frostburg State, Coryell picked up individual wins in the 50 freestyle (24.98) and 100 freestyle (54.19), and anchored the winning 200 medley relay (1:50.82). Coryell's 100 freestyle time ranks 27th nationally, while the 200 freestyle relay and 200 medley relay times rank 16th in Division III. Read More

Maddy Mann York Women's Swimming Sophomore York sophomore Maddy Mann was named the CAC Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week after recording two individual wins and a relay victory in the Spartans' season-opening win over Elizabethtown. Mann won the 200 freestyle by more than six seconds, finishing in 1:59.35. She also touched first in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:16.84, defeating the second-place finisher by 12 seconds. Those times rank 21st and 16th in Division III, respectively, so far this season. Mann was also a part of the winning 200 medley relay team with a time of 1:59.74. Read More
