NFCA Division III Preseason Top-25 Poll

Christopher Newport is ranked in a tie for 14th in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Preseason Top-25, announced Wednesday. The Captains earned 81 points in the poll to land in a 14th-place tie with Ramapo. 

CNU captured its third CAC title in the last four season last spring and advanced to the NCAA Regional Championship game before falling to Kean. 

The 2018 softball season will begin for several CAC teams in mid February, with CAC action set to start on March 31.
