All-Region honorees for the 2019 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field season were announced on Monday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). A total of 62 standouts from the Capital Athletic Conference achieved all-region status, including 36 men and 25 women.
The NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Track and Field and Cross Country Committee announced Sunday the participants in the 2019 NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track and Field Championships. A total of four CAC athletes (two men, two women) will compete at the championships which will be held March 8-9 at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center in Boston, Massachusetts, with the University of Massachusetts, Boston serving as host.
On Monday (Feb. 18), the Executive Committee of the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) met to investigate and rule on a protest of the results from the men's 4 x 400-meter relay event that took place Saturday (Feb. 16) at the 2019 CAC Men's Indoor Track & Field Championships.
Salisbury totaled 124 points to claim the 2019 CAC Men's Indoor Track & Field Championship on Saturday at the Freeman Center on the campus of Christopher Newport University. It is the first CAC indoor title for the Sea Gulls since 2015 after SU won the first four ever-contested conference indoor championships.
