  • Babson College Added as Associate Member in Men's Golf

    Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Commissioner Jeff Ligney and Babson College Senior Director of Athletics and Athletic Advancement Mike Lynch announced on Wednesday that the school’s men’s golf program has been accepted as an associate member of the league, effective immediately.

    Mary Washington freshman Sebastien Bonte was named to the Division III PING / Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) Honorable Mention All-America team. 
  • Four CAC Men's Golfers Earn PING All-Region Accolades

    Four CAC men's golfers have been named to the Division III PING All-Mid-Atlantic team, announced by by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). Mary Washington freshman Sebastien Bonte and sophomore Phillip Manceri, Christopher Newport junior David Rabil and York junior Tyler Newton collected all-region accolades. 
  • Mary Washington Men's Golf Finishes Tied for 24th at NCAA Championships

    The Mary Washington men's golf team was among those teams improving their performance on day two of the NCAA Division III national championship, as the Eagles climbed six spots to finish tied for 24th overall at +41. The Ealges missed the cut by 10 strokes.

    Mary Washington landed a conference-leading five golfers on the 2018 All-CAC Men's Golf Team and swept the major awards to highlight the all-conference honors from this year's championship tournament. 
  • Mary Washington Collects First-Ever CAC Men's Golf Championship; Bonte Wins Individual Crown

    With three individuals in the top five and all five golfers among the top 11, Mary Washington collected its first-ever CAC Men's Golf Championship on Saturday at Bay Creek Golf Course in Cape Charles, Va. The Eagles, who are in just their second year as a varsity program, totaled 925 stroke (+65) throughout the 54-hole event, cruising past the rest of the field for the team crown. 
  • Mary Washington Continues to Lead CAC Men's Golf Championship; Guintu Posts Tournament Low Round, Takes Individual Lead

    Mary Washington's Jason Guintu posted the low round of the tournament with an even-par 72 to help the Eagles extend their advantage on the rest of the field on day two of the CAC Men's Golf Championship on Friday at Bay Creek Golf Course. 
  • Bonte, Mary Washington Take Early Lead at CAC Men's Golf Championship

    Led by the top individual round of the day from Sebastien Bonte, Mary Washington claimed the early lead following day one of the CAC Men's Golf Championships on the Nicklaus Course at Bay Creek Resort in Cape Charles, Va. The Eagles notched a day one team score of 22-over par to take an eight-shot lead over Christopher Newport entering day two. 
  • 2018 CAC Men's & Women's Golf Championships Begin Thursday at Bay Creek

    The 2018 CAC Men's and Women's Golf Championships are set for Thursday, April 19 - Saturday, April 21 at Bay Creek Golf Course in Cape Charles, Va., marking the third straight year that the championship tournament will be held at Bay Creek. This also marks the inaugural championship for CAC women's golf. 
  • Marymount Sophomore John David Coffin Honored as CAC Men's Golfer of the Week

    Marymount sophomore John David Coffin was honored as the CAC Men's Golfer of the Week after posting a career tournament last week, taking third place at the two-day Lynchburg Invitational with a total of four-over-par 148. Coffin opened play with a five-over 77 one day one, before recording his first-ever under-par round at the collegiate level with a second-day score of one-under 71. His 71 moved him up 14 spots in the standings into third place, and was the low round of the tournament on day two. 
  • Joe Yeck Named Head Men's Golf Coach at New Jersey City

    Joseph Yeck, the assistant men's and women's golf coach at Drew University and formerly McDaniel College, has been named the fourth head coach in the history of the New Jersey City University men's golf team.
  • Mary Washington Sophomore Phillip Manceri Earns CAC Men's Golfer of the Week
    March 27, 2018
    Mary Washington sophomore Phillip Manceri was named the CAC Men's Golfer of the Week after placing second individually and leading the Eagles to a second-place team finish at the Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate on Friday and Saturday. Manceri finished the two days at two-under par, shooting 71-69 for a total of 140 to tie for second place overall. His 69 on Saturday was his first collegiate round in the 60s.

  • Tyler Shank Named Penn State Harrisburg Interim Golf Coach

    The Penn State Harrisburg golf team has one of their all-time best golfers taking the head coaching reigns in the Spring of 2018.  Tyler Shank, a former Penn State Harrisburg four year starter, has been named the head men's and women's interim golf coach.  Shank was the assistant coach during the fall season.
  • Christopher Newport Junior Joey Corlett Nabs CAC Men's Golf Weekly Honors
    October 24, 2017
    Christopher Newport junior Joey Corlett was honored as the CAC Men's Golfer of the Week after putting together a career-best performance at the 68th Annual Virginia State Golf Association (VSGA) Intercollegiate Championship. Corlett placed second individually out of 101 competitors. with a 36-hole total of two-under par 140 (69-71), finishing three strokes behind tournament champion Damian Beasley from Ferrum. Led by Corlett, the Captains placed third in the team standings. 
  • Mary Washington Freshman Sebastien Bonte Collects Second CAC Men's Golf Weekly Award

    Mary Washington freshman Sebastien Bonte collected CAC Men's Golfer of the Week accolades for the second time this fall after placing second in a field of 68 golfers at the Ted Keller Memorial Invitational with a two-day total of five-over par 145. Bonte opened the tournament with a +4 74, followed by a +1 round of 71 on the final day of competition. The Eagles finished in fourth place among the 11 competing squads. 
  • Wesley Senior Tyler Spielberger and York Junior Tyler Newton Selected as CAC Men's Co-Golfers of the Week

    York junior Tyler Newton and Wesley senior Tyler Spielberger were selected as the CAC Men's Co-Golfers of the Week for Oct. 3, 2017.   
  • Mary Washington Freshman Sebastien Bonte Collects CAC Men's Golfer of the Week Honors

    Mary Washington freshman Sebastien Bonte secured CAC Men's Golfer of the Week honors after winning the individual title at the Bay Creek Invitational. Bonte fired a one-under-par 143 throughout the two days to defeat the second-place finisher by one stroke. Bonte opened the tournament with a one-under 71, followed by an even-par 72 on day two. The Eagles finished in second place in the team standings, two strokes behind Christopher Newport.
