Cutch Ellis Christopher Newport Men's Basketball Sophomore Christopher Newport sophomore Cutch Ellis was named the CAC Player of the Week after posting a pair of double-doubles in wins over Mary Washington and York, helping the Captains clinch the No. 1 seed in the CAC Tournament. Ellis averaged 19.0 points, 12.5 rebounds, 2.5 three-pointers, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals per contest. He set new career highs with 19 points and 13 points in a 75-71 win at Mary Washington, before matching his career-best 19 points and adding a dozen rebounds in a 81-71 home victory over York that sealed the top seed in this week's CAC Tournament. Brian Cameron Wesley Men's Basketball Sophomore Wesley sophomore Brian Cameron was named the CAC Player of the Week for the second time this year after registering a pair of double-doubles, averaging 22.5 points, 11.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.0 steals per contest, and hitting a game-winning three-pointer from near halfcourt in a 2-0 week for the Wolverines. Cameron opened the week with 29 points, 10 boards, six assists and three steals in a 72-65 victory at Marymount on Wednesday. He followed that up with 16 points and 12 rebounds in a 68-66 win against Mary Washington, including hitting the game-winning three-pointer as time expired. Read More

Khiorie Stewart Mary Washington Men's Basketball Junior Mary Washington junior Khiorie Stewart was tabbed as the CAC Player of the Week after leading the Eagles to a pair of CAC wins with averages of 17.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and a steal per game while shooting 73.7% from the field and 62.5% from three-point land in just 18.0 minutes per game. Stewart shot 5-for-8 from the field en route to 12 points in a 68-54 win at St. Mary's on Wednesday. He then erupted for 23 points on 9-of-11 shooting, including 13 straight in the middle of the second half, to help spur the Eagles to a 91-70 win over Penn State Harrisburg on Saturday. Tyler Michael Frostburg State Men's Basketball Senior Frostburg State senior Tyler Michael was honored as the CAC Player of the Week after averaging 21.5 points on 63.3% shooting, 5.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game in a 2-0 week that included a victory over seventh-ranked York. In the Bobcats' 95-85 win against the nationally-ranked Spartans, Michael posted a well-rounded stat line of 12 points, six rebounds, three assists and a season-high four steals. He closed out the week with a 31-point outburst on 14-of-19 shooting in a 76-72 win at St. Mary's, adding five rebounds, a season-high four assists, a steal and a block. Read More

Barcikowski opened the week with his second double-double of the year in a 84-68 home win over Wesley, tallying 14 points, 11 boards and seven assists while also adding four steals and two blocks. He then closed out the week with 17 points, five assists and four rebounds in an 80-68 victory at Penn State Harrisburg. Blair Davis Salisbury Men's Basketball Junior Salisbury junior Blair Davis earned CAC Player of the Week recognition after averaging 19.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.0 steals per contest in a 2-0 week for the Sea Gulls. Davis was efficient with his shot, shooting 58.3% (14-for-24) from the field, 50% (3-for-6) from three-point range and 80% (8-for-10) from the free throw line. He opened the week with a then-season-high of 18 points along with three assists and two three-pointers in a 73-50 triumph over St. Mary's. Davis closed out the week with season-highs of 21 points and nine rebounds while registering four steals in a 83-75 road win at Southern Virginia. Drew Johnson Mary Washington Men's Basketball Freshman Mary Washington freshman Drew Johnson was named the CAC Player of the Week after averaging 18.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 4.5 three-pointers per contest in a 2-0 CAC week for the Eagles. Johnson opened the week with a team-high 25 points on 61.5% (8-for-13) shooting from the field including 70% (7-for-10) from three-point land in an 88-84 home win against Wesley. He added eight rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block in the win. Johnson closed out the week with 12 points, nine boards, three steals and two three-pointers in a 77-74 road win at Penn State Harrisburg. Blayde Reich York Men's Basketball Senior York senior Blayde Reich was tabbed as the CAC Player of the Week after earning MVP honors at the Washington & Lee Holiday Tournament with averages of 29.5 points and 14.5 rebounds per game in overtime wins against No. 2 Middlebury and Washington & Lee. Reich began the tournament with 15 points and 10 rebounds in an upset win over Middlebury, adding three steals and two blocks. Reich's top performance came in the championship game, as he poured in a career-highs of 44 points and 19 rebounds along with four assists to help the Spartans overcome an 18-point deficit en route to a 118-110 overtime title-game win over the host Generals. His 44 points is tied for second on the Spartans' single-game scoring list while the 19 rebounds are three short of the school record of 22. His 44 points and 19 boards are also the top scoring and rebounding performances in the CAC this season. He shot 16-for-23 from the floor, 3-for-5 from three-point range and 9-for-12 from the free throw line in the championship game. For the week, Reich shot 60% (21-of-35) from the floor while also adding 2.5 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.5 blocks per contest. Read More

Paul Clemons Wesley Men's Basketball Senior Wesley senior Paul Clemons was named the CAC Player of the Week after posting a 28-point, 13-rebound effort in the Wolverines' 82-75 victory over Immaculata. Clemons shot 9-of-11 (81.8%) from the field and 10-of-11 (90.9%) from the free throw line in the victory while also adding four assists and a steal. He scored 17 of his points in the second half, including eight points in the final six minutes to help Wesley pull away down the stretch. Read More

Brian Cameron Wesley Men's Basketball Sophomore Wesley sophomore Brian Cameron was selected as the CAC Player of the Week after averaging 19.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 4.3 three-pointers per contest while shooting 65% (13-for-20) from beyond the arc in a 2-1 week for the Wolverines. Cameron's top performance came in a 105-94 win over Hood in the opening game of the Cregger Invitational, scoring 28 points on 10-of-12 shooting from the floor and 8-of-9 from three-point range while also adding six rebounds and two steals. He was named to the Cregger Invitational All-Tournament team for his efforts. Cameron has scored in double figures in eight of Wesley's nine games this season, and currently leads the CAC in scoring with 20.8 points per game. Read More

Dalton Myers York Men's Basketball Senior York senior Dalton Myers earned CAC Player of the Week honors after averaging 21.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game while shooting 53.6% from the floor and 42.9% from three-point land in a 2-0 week for the unbeaten Spartans. Myers started the week with a season-high 28 points and 12 rebounds for his third double-double of the year in the win over Frostburg State. Myers was 10-for-16 from the floor, 1-for-3 from three and 7-for-9 from the free throw line. Edwin Cole Frostburg State Men's Basketball Junior Frostburg State junior Edwin Cole was named the CAC Player of the Week after averaging 7.5 points, 12.5 rebounds and 6.0 blocks per game in a 2-0 week for the Bobcats, including a road victory at 17th-ranked Christopher Newport. In the overtime win over CNU, Cole nearly posted a rare version of a triple-double with nine points, 12 boards and eight blocks. He also shot 53.8% (7-for-13) from the field on the week. Evan Anderson Wesley Men's Basketball Junior Wesley junior Evan Anderson was honored as the CAC Player of the Week after scoring 16 points and hitting the game-winning three-pointer in a comeback 74-73 CAC win over Penn State Harrisburg last Tuesday. Trailing 71-59 with just over two minutes remaining, Anderson helped the Wolverines cap off a 15-3 run in the closing minutes with the game-winning three-pointer with five seconds on the clock. Gbolahan Alliyu Penn State Harrisburg Men's Basketball Junior Penn State Harrisburg junior center Gbolahan Alliyu was selected as the CAC Player of the Week after averaging 12.3 points, 15.3 rebounds and 3.7 blocks per contest in a 3-0 week for the Lions. Alliyu helped Penn State Harrisburg to a 3-0 start by defeating Haverford, Immaculata, and Mount Union and was named the MVP of the Penn State Harrisburg Tip-Off tournament. He posted double-doubles in both tournament wins, including an 18-point, 18-rebound, 8-block performance against Immaculata in the tournament opener.
