Connor Reeves Salisbury Baseball Senior Salisbury senior Connor Reeves was selected as the CAC Pitcher of the Week for the second time this year after tossing his second complete-game shutout of the season on Friday against York in the opening round of the CAC Tournament. Reeves tied his own season-high with 11 strikeouts while allowing only five hits in his nine innings on the mound. With the win, Reeves ties both the CAC and Salisbury program records for wins in a single season with 12. The total also has him leading Division III baseball in that category. Read More

Bret Williams Penn State Harrisburg Baseball Sophomore Penn State Harrisburg sophomore Bret Williams collected CAC Player of the Week accolades after hitting three home runs, driving in eight RBIs and scoring eight times in a 3-0 weekend that sent the Lions to the CAC Championship series. In three CAC Tournament games, Williams was 6-for-13 (.462) at the plate with three home runs, two doubles and three walks. Jack Barry Salisbury Baseball Junior Salisbury junior Jack Barry earned CAC Player of the Week honors for the second time this year after hitting .625 (10-for-16) at the plate with two home runs, two triples and three doubles in a 3-1 week as the Sea Gulls locked up the No. 1 seed in the CAC Tournament. Barry scored seven times and knocked in nine runs, posting an on-base percentage of .667 and slugging percentage of 1.438. He registered at least two hits, two runs scored and two RBIs in three of the four contests, including falling just a single shy of the cycle in an 11-3 victory over Penn State Harrisburg in the doubleheader opener. Zach Hossler York Baseball Senior York senior Zach Hossler was tabbed as the CAC Player of the Week after hitting going 10-for-14 at the plate with six RBIs and five runs scored in a 2-1 week for the Spartans. The second baseman began the week by going 3-for-4 with a run scored and four RBIs in the 18-7 win over Frostburg State. Hossler then went 4-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBIs in a15-2 win in game one of a doubleheader with Salisbury. He concluded the week with a 3-for-4 performance with a run scored and a double in a game two setback against the Sea Gulls. Hossler hit .714 for the week with a .786 slugging percentage and a .733 on-base percentage. He was also perfect in nine fielding chances for the week. Read More

Connor Reeves Salisbury Baseball Senior Salisbury senior Connor Reeves was selected as the CAC Pitcher of the Week after registering a pair of victories on the mound last week for the Sea Gulls. Reeves appeared in two games for Salisbury, including one start and one relief appearance, and earned wins in both. He collected 13 combined strikeouts and did not walk a batter in his 11 1/3 innings of work. Reeves only allowed one earned run and five total hits for an ERA of 0.79. Barry registerd three hits in three of the five contests and scored at least once in all five wins. His top performance came in a key CAC showdown with Christopher Newport, as he belted three home runs with five RBIs and three runs scored in a 17-7 victory. Read More

Christian Hague Mary Washington Baseball Sophomore Mary Washington sophomore Christian Hague was named the CAC Player of the Week after going 10-for-19 (.526) with four home runs, three doubles, six runs scored and nine RBIs in four games last week. Hague's top performance came in a 12-7 win over Southern Virginia, as he went 4-for-5 with two home runs, five RBIs and scored twice. He then went 6-for-10 in a doubleheader at Salisbury with three doubles and two home runs. His OPS for the week was 1.866, with seven extra base hits and 25 total bases. Read More

Peterson allowed only four hits throughout his nine innings on the mound, recording three stirkeouts with two walks. It amrked his fourth victory in a row and fourth CAC win of the year. Marrs posted a 0.00 ERA with 13 strikeouts and just four hits allowed in 11.1 innings of work on the mound. He secured a complete-game three-hit shutout win with 10 strikeouts in Wesley's 6-0 win over Penn State Harrisburg on Thursday, before earning the save in the Wolverines' 7-6 victory over York in the first game of a doubleheader on Sunday. Seth Woodard Christopher Newport Baseball Junior Christopher Newport junior Seth Woodard claimed CAC Player of the Week honors for the third time this year after recording three multi-hit games in a 3-0 week for the Captains as they improved to 25-4 with a 17-game winning streak. Woodard went 7-for-12 (.583) at the plate with six RBIs and eight runs scored in victories over Southern Virginia and Marymount. Three of his seven hits went for extra bases, including a pair of home runs. Woodard reached base 12 times in 17 plate appearances for an on-base percentage of .706 and posted a 1.167 slugging percentage. He drove in the game-tying run in the bottom of the ninth inning against Marymount, setting up a game-winning pinch-hit walk-off. Against Southern Virginia, he reached base in all five plate appearances (3-for-3 with two walks) and scored five times in the game, matching the CNU program record for runs in a single game. Hall went 11-for-17 at the plate with five doubles, one home run, nine RBIs, two walks, five runs scored and three stolen bases in a 2-2 week for Marymount. His top performance came during Saturday's CAC doubleheader with St. Mary's, as he went 7-for-9, including a perfect 5-for-5 performance in game two, with four doubles, a home run, seven RBIs and three runs scored in the twinbill sweep. He leads the CAC in doubles (17) this season, ranks second in batting average (.468) and third in hits (36). His 0.81 doubles per game ranks him in the top five in the country. Read More

Woodard drove in a team-high eight runs, scored four times, slugged 1.182 and reach base at a .529 clip in wins over North Carolina Wesleyan, Salisbury and St. Mary's. He was also perfect in the field in nine chances, including starting a pair of around-the-horn double plays. In three wins against CAC opponents, Woodard was 4-for-8 with two home runs and a double, including a 2-for-2, three-RBI effort against St. Mary's in an 8-0 shutout over the Seahawks. Seibert registered at least one hit in all six games, and scored at least once in five of the six games. For the week, he reached base at a .700 clip and slugged 1.353. Schenider surrendered the only hit in the ninth inning after retiring 25-consecutive Mustang batters. He also walked just one batter in his 9.0 innings of work. In all three of his starts this spring, Schneider has struckout 15 batters and boasts a 0.41 ERA. Read More

Woodard notched at least three hits in each contest as CNU defeated Bridgewater (Va.), Hampden-Sydney and Penn State Berks. For the week, he went 10-for-12 (.833) at the plate with five runs scored, five RBIs, three doubles, a .846 on-base percentage and a 1.083 slugging percentage. Dakotah Merritt St. Mary's Baseball Junior St. Mary's junior Dakota Merritt earned CAC Player of the Week honors after batting .750 with five RBIs, four doubles, and two runs scored in a 2-1 week for the Seahawks in a three-game series vs. Mount Saint Vincent. Merritt notched at least one hit and one RBI in all three contests. He opened the week with career-bests of three hits and three doubles and a season-high three RBIs in a 23-1 win, before following that up with two hits, including a double, and an RBI in a 6-4 win. Kenny Sysyn Marymount Baseball Sophomore Marymount sophomore Kenny Sysyn was tabbed as the CAC Pitcher of the Week after tossing a complete-game one-hitter in a victory over Western Connecticut State. Through seven innings on the mound, Sysyn registered a career-high nine strikeouts and just two walks against 26 batters. It marked the first complete-game outing of his career. Read More

Colon posted at least two hits in five of the Bobcats' seven games, and owns an on-base percentage of .567% while slugging 1.043%. He capped the opening set of games with two home runs and three RBIs in a 10-1 win over New Rochelle. Read More

Greg Schneider Frostburg State Baseball Senior Frostburg State senior Greg Schneider secured CAC Pitcher of the Week honors after posting a 2-0 record with an incredible 30 strikeouts in 13 innings pitched. Schneider opened the year with 15 strikeouts in just 6.0 innings of work in a 6-1 win over Penn State Abington. At one point, he fanned 10-straight batters from the first through fifth innings. This past Saturday, Schneider fanned another 15 batters in a 13-0 shutout of Rutgers-Newark. In the win over the Scarlet Raiders, Schneider surrendered just two hits and struckout at least two batters in all seven innings, including three in the sixth. He has allowed just one earned run for an ERA of 0.69 and four hits through his 13.0 innings pitched. Read More

Hossler began the week with a 2-for-3 performance in a 5-0 win over 10th-ranked Randolph-Macon. Against Penn State Berks, Hossler was 3-for-4 with two runs scored, an RBI and a double in the Spartans' 12-7 win. Greg Schneider Frostburg State Baseball Junior Frostburg State junior Greg Schneider picked up CAC Pitcher of the Week accolades after striking out a career-best 15 batters in a win over Mount Aloysius on Wednesday. Schneider fanned 15 of the 23 batters faced as the Bobcats posted a 10-1 win over the Mounties. He struck out the side in the first and seventh innings and fanned two batters in the second, third, fifth and sixth innings, while allowing just three hits and one earned run. Read More

Trey Mears Wesley Baseball Senior Wesley senior Trey Mears collected CAC Player of the Week honors after belting four home runs with 11 RBIs while hitting .556 last week, helping the Wolverines clinch the No. 4 seed in the CAC Tournament. Mears scored eight times and registered four stolen bases. He hit a home run in three of four games, posting a slugging percentage of 1.278 and getting on base at a .609 clip. Mike Thomas Christopher Newport Baseball Senior Christopher Newport senior Mike Thomas was honored as the CAC Pitcher of the Week for the second time this year after pitching seven innings of a combined shutout against Penn State Harrisburg to pick up his seventh win of the season. Thomas struck out five and allowed just three hits in his seven innings of work, helping CNU tie its single-season record for shutouts with six. Oster allowed just four hits while striking out nine of the 29 batters he faced. He did not walk a batter en route to his second complete-game outing of the season. With the performance he now boasts a 2.91 ERA for the season, which ranks fifth in the CAC. Read More

Perry tallied at least two RBIs in each contest, including a pair of four-RBI games in a twinbill sweep over Penn State Harrisburg. Perry registered an on-base percentage of .533 and a slugging percentage of .923 while scoring four times for the first-place Sea Gulls. Read More

Seibert hit .385 (5-for-13) at the plate with a slugging percentage of 1.077, knocking in seven RBIs and scoring five times. Seibert came up big in game two of a doubleheader sweep over previous-conference-unbeaten Christopher Newport, knocking a pair of two-run homers in the nightcap. Brubaker went 10-for-20 (.500) at the plate with three doubles and four round-trippers, helping the Lions sweep CAC foes Southern Virginia and St. Mary's. He registered at least one hit and two RBIs in four of the five games, posting a slugging % of 1.250. Read More

Mike Thomas Christopher Newport Baseball Senior Christopher Newport senior southpaw Mike Thomas earned CAC Pitcher of the Week honors after twirling a seven-inning shutout performance against York in CAC action on Saturday. Thomas wriggled out of early trouble unscathed in the first and second innings, and then cruised through the seventh frame. He retired 14 straight batters between the end of the second and the beginning of the seventh, allowing just four hits and a walk with five strikeouts. He combined with two relievers for the shutout, CNU's fourth of the year. Read More

McIntyre opened the week by pitching one inning of scoreless relief in a team victory against Southern Virginia. In his start against Marymount, he allowed just one earned run with no walks and seven strikeouts. In his 10 innings of work on the mound last week, McIntyre posted a 0.90 ERA with eight strikeouts, zero walks, and five hits allowed. Read More

Nicely secured CAC Player of the Week honors after delivering multi-hit games in every contest in a 4-0 week for the Captains, helping the squad extend its winning streak to 10. Nicely hit .550 (11-for-20) for the week, driving in four runs, scoring five times, and stealing three bases. In an extra-inning triumph vs. Salisbury, Nicely led off the 10th inning with a double and scored the game-winning run off a hit by Joe Cutchins. He drove in three runs and scored twice in a 4-for-5 effort at N.C. Grasso posted a slugging percentage of .800 and an on-base percentage of .682. Two of his three RBIs against Wesley came in the bottom of the eighth inning, helping the Sea Gulls overcome an 8-6 deficit en route to a 9-8 win. Against Eastern Mennonite, Ginch hit for CNU's first cycle since 2002 and only the third in program history. In his cycle against the Royals, he drove in five runs and scored three times, and wrapped up the cycle by the sixth inning, completing it in his first and only four at-bats. He set Wesley's single-game record for most RBIs in a single game when he drove in nine runs against Valley Forge on Thursday. In game one, Hall entered the game with two outs in the bottom of the seventh and runners on first and second. He forced a flyout to centerfield to earn the save in a 3-1 Marymount victory. In game two, he pitched 2.2 innings of relief, giving up just one hit to secure the win. Baham drove in six runs and scored five times. His most impressive game in three starts this weekend came against No. 6 Birmingham-Southern, in which he went 4-for-5 and fell just a double shy of the cycle while driving in four runs and scoring twice. He also led off with a single in the top of the 9th inning against Methodist to set up a four-run come-from-behind win for the Captains.
